The virtue of charity certainly has been obtained by you. <br /><br />As far as the Society is concerned, they are not in schism and one may attend their masses to fulfill one's Sunday obligation. One may not go to them for confession or marriage, supposedly because there is no jurisdiction, but the SSPX has shown where supplied jurisdiction may very well be in play, considering the current crisis in the Church. <br /><br />In an interview in The Remnant Newspaper in 2005 Cardinal Dario Castrillion Hoyos said that the Society was not in formal schism. The good bishop is instructing his people to avoid them, as a Catholic in the pews could get confused.
