The Koran Challenge

I think I've posted this before, but I like to revisit oldies and goodies!

Well, of course, atheists and whatnot like to pick certain lines out of the Bible, like stoning women on their periods, etc...so taking one line out and basing a judgement of the whole religion on that is sketchy.

However I think his point about looking at Muhammed vs. Jesus is very valid. Jesus is our Ultimate Example of how to be, and he's a damn good one. And thus of course is something to have faith in and follow. Bhudda's kinda a good role model too...you know, about not just indulging in the ego and resisting temptation and being all peaceful n' that crap. Not God-made-flesh like Jesus, but you get my point. But Muhammad being married and having multiple wives and striking and stuff...sounds just like a regular kinda dude with some possibly good religious ideas. Not someone to base a faith off of, though.

Although...do Muslim's think he's the ultimate pious example? Or was he just a prophet who was special only because God spoke to him? Maybe he's not supposed to be the ultimate example of how to be. He was just the conduit for God's word, to them...

Oh I always babble inconclusively.
