Nice!!

This is certainly a curve ball, if John McCain has chosen Sarah Palin.

Serious game changer.

Wow.

Here's what we know: Sarah Palin landed in Ohio last night with her two oldest kids. She landed thirty miles from Dayton on a plane owned by one of McCain's fundraisers.

The web-site Palin for America actually has revealed she IS the pick.

Here's the take away: John McCain is awesome. I was lukewarm on McCain, but he has pulled a major head fake with Pawlenty and has gone for a bold, wildcard pick. Everyone will forget about Obama's speech today.

Barry the Butcher and Joey Hairplugs can talk about change - Sarah Palin has actually done it as Governor of Alaska. She is staunchly pro-life, pro-family, anti-illegal immigration, - in short - she ROCKS!!

I think I feel a tingle in my spine...

How can "Catholics" vote for Obama?

How can anyone claiming to be a good Catholic even THINK of voting for Barry the Butcher?

Founder of Operation Rescue to distribute new flyer: “Is it Immoral to Vote for Obama for President?”

Denver, Aug 18, 2008 / 12:52 pm (CNA).- The founder of Operation Rescue, Randall Terry is in Denver today to distribute his organization’s new flyer, “Is it Immoral to Vote for Obama for President?”

His mission for the visit is simple: “hand out 100,000 copies of the brochure, ‘Is it Immoral to Vote for Obama for President?’ to Catholics and Evangelicals. It has a profoundly jolting effect on readers, explained Mr. Terry.

Mr. Terry and his staff are recruiting volunteers to help with the distribution from Tuesday 8/19 – to Sunday 8/24. They will go to malls, shopping centers, streets, and churches to hand out the brochure.

“It is mind boggling that millions of Catholics are considering voting for Obama – in spite of the fact that he is the most pro-death candidate in history,” remarked Mr. Terry.

“Worse yet is that they attempt to justify this abandonment of the unborn by citing ‘the common good.’ John Paul II specifically said such reasoning was against the teaching of the Church.”

“This new flyer will clear up any doubt for the open-hearted who will be consistent with their faith. I hope we can get a lot of volunteers; this could really make a difference.”

The brochure can be read in full at http://www.humbleplea.com/. The times and meeting locations can also be found at this site.

The enlightenment

Local liberal talk radio host Steve Corbett might be set to support Barry the Butcher after last nights less than persuasive speech by his idol Hillary Clinton.

Corbett, who for months now has sworn he would NEVER vote for Barry, might just change his tune when his far-left leaning show hits airwaves at 3pm today.

The outspoken supporter of murdering babies in their womb said this morning on the Nancy and Kevin show he had come to a monumental decision. This of course on the heels of Hillary's speech at the DNC last night.

Corbett, for all his braggadocio doesn't strike me as the overly transparent type, though. He knows how to publicize his show, maybe he saw Hillary's speech for what it was - a pandering endorsement for Hillary 2012 - not a true endorsement for Bary Hussein - but who knows? Liberals are often fooled by their "hero's", but has Corbett been?

If I have to listen to him suckle at the Obama tit for the next two months, I'm gonna have to get satellite radio installed...

“Well, the trouble with our liberal friends is not that they are ignorant, but that they know so much that isn't so.” – Ronald Reagan

Update: Corbett did not disappoint today, he has decided to kick the democrats to the curb, so to speak. He is denouncing his party membership and plans to register as an independent.

And that rocks!

Here is my two cents

My money is on Joe Biden to be the butcher's running mate. Why? Because he is on a plane to Illinois as we speak. None of the other veep hopefuls are.

Take a look at what we are up against:

What did we do to deserve this gift? Many prayers have been answered.

I'm giddy with anticipation...

Barry the Butcher wants to kill babies

That anyone would want to deny a newborn baby medical care because the original intent of the mother was to kill it, is inhumane. Now this bastard tries to deny it. How low will the democrats go next?

In 2002, Barack Obama Supported Infanticide and I've Got the Transcript of His Words

Editorial Note: People forget this issue came up more than once in Illinois. In 2001, Obama was concerned about abortion rights and the impact the Born Alive Infant Protection Act would have on abortion rights. In 2002, those concerns were addressed and fixed in the legislation. Now Obama's concerns were more clear. His views on life had no where else to hide.

What has Barack Obama said about his opposition to the Born Alive Infant Protection Act?

Obama has made several points, which we should recount.

First, Obama claimed doctors must render the care away. As David Freddosso has regularly pointed out, that was not true.

In fact, the Illinois Attorney General determined that doctors were under no such obligation when a child, born alive, had been intended to be aborted. Doctors only had the obligation to give life sustaining treatment when it was intended that the child be born alive.

Obama, then claimed his concern related to there being no language protecting Roe v. Wade in the legislation. He told the Chicago Tribune as much in October of 2004. In fact, that has been his story the whole time.

This week, the story changed. This week, NRLC proved conclusively that the legislation did, in fact, protect Roe v. Wade.

Obama has now changed his story yet again. Now he says that, regardless of whether the statute protected Roe v. Wade based on its language, "even as worded, the legislation could have undermined existing Illinois abortion law."

But what did Obama say back then? What was Obama's excuse back in 2002? What were his words on the floor of the State Senate. Senator Obama was the only person to speak out in opposition of the Born Alive Infant Protection Act.

What did he say?

I've got the transcript. I've got Senator Obama's own words.

Here is what you need to know.

The legislation came up more than once. In 2001, Senator Obama was concerned about the legislation's impact on abortion. But when the bill came back in 2002, the issue about the law undermining abortion had been redressed.

In 2002, Senator Obama was not concerned about Roe v. Wade. He was not concerned with undermining abortion laws in Illinois. No, what Senator Obama today claims were his concerns were not his concerns back in 2002.

In 2002, Senator Obama stood on the floor of the Illinois State Senate to oppose the Born Alive Infant Protection Act. By this time, even the abortion rights organizations like Planned Parenthood had dropped their opposition. But Obama continued to oppose the law.

He was the only person to speak out against the legislation.

In an exchange with Senator O'Malley, the legislation's sponsor, Obama's concern was about second guessing the abortionist.

Here is what he said:

As I understand it, this puts the burden on the attending physician who has determined, since they were performing this procedure, that, in fact, this is a nonviable fetus; that if that fetus, or child - however way you want to describe it - is now outside the mother's womb and the doctor continues to think that it's nonviable but there's, let's say, movement or some indication that, in fact, they're not just coming out limp and dead, that, in fact, they would then have to call a second physician to monitor and check off and make sure that this is not a live child that could be saved.

SHORTER BARACK OBAMA: Let's trust the guy who just botched the abortion to determine whether or not he actually did botch the abortion.

That's it. If a baby comes out and is alive, Barack Obama thought it too damned burdensome to have another doctor, someone used to dealing with live babies, check to see if the baby was viable.

Don't believe me? Read the transcript here.

No one else spoke out against the legislation. Only Barack Obama was so concerned about the doctor performing the abortion, he did not think it worth having a doctor used to live babies coming in to see if the baby might live. Only Barack Obama

Can we kick the politicians out now?

Once again, the brain-dead American public will be fleeced, this time by the Treasury Department. Now that Russia has decimated the Georgian economy after its ethnic cleansing foray into South Osettia, the U.S. government will make sure the International Monetary Fund, World Bank and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development don’t lose a penny and Wall Street has its investment returns socialized.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States is exploring ways to assist Georgia's economy including how global financial institutions can help limit economic damage caused by the conflict with Russia, a senior U.S. Treasury official said Friday.

Assistant Treasury Secretary Clay Lowery said the situation in Georgia was "fluid" and it was hard to know how much harm was done to the economy and investor confidence since the crisis erupted over the breakaway South Ossetia region.

"We want to be supportive of the Georgia economic situation going forward and that includes bilateral and multilateral needs," Lowery said in an interview with Reuters.

While the White House has flexed its political muscle to force Russia to pull troops out of the region, the U.S. Treasury has tried to reassure investors over Georgia's young democracy.

"The most important thing is for the fighting to stop (but we also) want to ensure there is confidence so that investor flows continue," Lowery said.

He said the U.S. wanted to make sure that the conflict did not take away from the impressive economic progress and reforms in Georgia that produced China-like growth levels of 11 percent in 2007 despite Russian trade and transit barriers.

"Our view is that this should not be undermined," Lowery said, adding that the U.S. was working with global financial institutions, like the International Monetary Fund, World Bank and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, to support reforms made by Georgia and ensure economic changes continue.

All three institutions said this week they stood ready to help Georgia's government, which they said had acted to tackle corruption, quicken privatization and created a business-friendly environment that increased capital flows.

The World Bank's Doing Business survey named Georgia the leading reformer in the world in 2006.

Given the current circumstances, Lowery said it was understandable for investors to worry about the situation but he urged them to look at Georgia's record of reforms and economic management.

Credit ratings agencies warned this week that Georgia is likely to suffer lasting economic damage from the war. Last week Fitch downgraded Georgia to B+ with a negative outlook, while S&P cut the rating to B from B+ and placed the country on CreditWatch negative.

"We in the United States, but also the financial institutions, can shore up a little bit of confidence for the private investor community that we are going to continue putting public investment in there," he added.

The U.S. government's main development fund, the Millennium Challenge Corp (MCC), has agreed to invest $295 million over five years in Georgia to develop roads and railway links and boost assistance to farmers and agribusinesses.

The U.S. has also agreed to provide more than $3.6 million in aid and medical supplies to Georgia to help people dislodged by the conflict.

Lowery said it will be important for Georgian authorities, despite the difficult environment, to illustrate good fiscal and monetary policies, and an open investment regime.

"For Georgia to succeed it has got to continue along the path it has been following in terms of its economics, which can lead to greater economic growth and continued private sector flows both from investment and trade," he added. (Reporting by Lesley Wroughton. Editing by Diane Craft)

A poem for priests.

This comes from Fr. Dwight Longenecker

A Student’s Plea

No, no, Father, please don’t toss the mike
like a DJ when you preach. Please don’t be cool.
Please don’t ride a Harley motorbike
when you come to school.

Don’t wear red cowboy boots for Pentecost,
and tell dumb jokes to be our pal. Please don’t ‘high five’,
say, “Sweet!” “Awwsome!” “You suck!” “You’re toast!”
or teach us how to jive.

Don’t sing along to the latest pop band;
you don’t need to be hip and up to date,
or come to our parties with a drink in your hand,
trying to relate.

Play it straight. Say the black and do the red.
Refrain from politics and rainbow pins.
Pray for all of us, the living and the dead,
and listen to our sins.

We want you to keep the faith, you see,
but keep it as it was. We want it old.
We want it to be waiting there when we
come in from the cold.

We want you to be our Father, not our mate.
We want a solid rock; so when we roam,
we know you'll be there, waiting at the gate,
to welcome us home.

Buchanan on Barry the Butcher

By Pat Buchanan
LifeNews.com Editor
August 13, 2008

Link to Original

LifeNews.com Note: Pat Buchanan ran for the Republican nomination for president in 1992 and 1996. He is a longtime syndicated columnist who frequently appeared on television and radio shows discussing political issues and has been a stalwart pro-life advocate.

In the Pennsylvania primary, Barack Obama rolled up more than 90 percent of the African-American vote. Among Catholics, he lost by 40 points. The cool liberal Harvard law grad was not a good fit for the socially conservative ethnics of Altoona, Aliquippa and Johnstown.

But if Barack had a problem with Catholics, then he has a far higher hurdle to surmount in the fall with those millions of Catholics who still take their faith and moral code seriously.

For not only is Barack the most pro-abortion member of the Senate, with his straight A+ report card from the National Abortion Rights Action League and Planned Parenthood, he supports the late-term procedure known as partial-birth abortion, where the baby's skull is stabbed with scissors in the birth canal and the brains are sucked out to end its life swiftly and ease passage of the corpse into the pan.

Partial-birth abortion, said the late Sen. Pat Moynihan, "comes as close to infanticide as anything I have seen in our judiciary."

Yet, when Congress was voting to ban this terrible form of death for a mature fetus, Michelle Obama was signing fundraising letters pledging that, if elected, Barack would be "tireless" in keeping legal this "legitimate medical procedure."

And Barack did not let the militants down. When the Supreme Court upheld the congressional ban on this barbaric procedure, Barack denounced the court for denying "equal rights for women."

As David Freddoso reports in his new best seller, "The Case Against Barack Obama," the Illinois senator goes further than any U.S. senator has dared go in defending what John Paul II called the "culture of death."

Thrice in the Illinois legislature, Obama helped block a bill that was designed solely to protect the life of infants already born, and outside the womb, who had miraculously survived the attempt to kill them during an abortion. Thrice, Obama voted to let doctors and nurses allow these tiny human beings die of neglect and be tossed out with the medical waste.

How can a man who purports to be a Christian justify this?

If, as its advocates contend, abortion has to remain legal to protect the life and health, mental and physical, of the mother, how is a mother's life or health in the least threatened by a baby no longer inside her -- but lying on a table or in a pan fighting for life and breath?

How is it essential for the life or health of a woman that her baby, who somehow survived the horrible ordeal of abortion, be left to die or put to death? Yet, that is what Obama voted for, thrice, in the Illinois Senate.

When a bill almost identical to the one Barack fought in Illinois, the Born Alive Infants Protection Act, came to the floor of the U.S. Senate in 2001, the vote was 98 to 0 in favor. Barbara Boxer, the most pro-abortion member of the Senate before Barack came, spoke out on its behalf:

"Of course, we believe everyone should deserve the protection of this bill. ... Who could be more vulnerable than a newborn baby? So, of course, we agree with that. ... We join with an aye' vote on this. I hope it will, in fact, be unanimous."

Obama says he opposed the Born Alive Infants Protection Act because he feared it might imperil Roe v. Wade. But if Roe v. Wade did allow infanticide or murder, which is what letting a tiny baby die of neglect or killing it outright amounts to, why would he not want that court decision reviewed and amended to outlaw infanticide?

Is the right to an abortion so sacrosanct to Obama that killing by neglect or snuffing out of the life of tiny babies outside the womb must be protected if necessary to preserve that right?

Obama is an abortion absolutist. "I could find no instance in his entire career," writes Freddoso, "in which he voted for any regulation or restriction on the practice of abortion."

In 2007, Barack pledged that, in his first act as President, he will sign the Freedom of Choice Act, which would cancel every federal, state or local regulation or restriction on abortion. The National Organization for Women says it would abolish all restrictions on government funding of abortion.

What we once called God's Country would become the nation on earth most zealously committed to an unrestricted right of abortion from conception to birth.

Before any devout Catholic, evangelical Christian or Orthodox Jew votes for Obama, he or she might spend 15 minutes in Chapter 10 of Freddoso's "Case Against Barack." For if, as Catholics believe, abortion is the killing of an unborn child and participation in an abortion entails automatic excommunication, how can a good Catholic support a candidate who will appoint justices to make Roe v. Wade eternal and eliminate all restrictions on a practice Catholics legislators have fought for three decades to curtail?

And which Catholic priests and prelates will it be who give invocations at Obama rallies, even as Mother Church fights to save the lives of unborn children whom Obama believes have no right to life and no rights at all?

Happy Marymass!

Today we celebrate the Assumption of Mary! The day when Mary, the Mother of God was taken up into Heaven.

On this day, a Holy Day of Obligation, we recall Our Lady's being assumed into Heaven and crowned Queen. Though the Church has always believed in the Assumption of Mary, the dogma was only formally defined by Pope Pius XII in 1950 in his Bull Munificentissimus Deus. Note that Mary was assumed into Heaven -- taken up by the power of God, like Elias and Enoch -- while Christ ascended into Heaven under His own power.

According to the Catholic Encyclopedia, the date of Mary's Assumption is placed from anywhere between 3 and 15 years after Our Lord's Ascension, and the place from which she was assumed is listed as Jerusalem, where her tomb has been placed since around the 6th century, though some claim Ephesus as the proper place. At any rate, St. John Damascene (John of Damascus, A.D. 676 - 754/787) writes:

St. Juvenal, Bishop of Jerusalem, at the Council of Chalcedon (A.D. 451), made known to the Emperor Marcian and Pulcheria, who wished to possess the body of the Mother of God, that Mary died in the presence of all the Apostles, but that her tomb, when opened, upon the request of St. Thomas, was found empty; wherefrom the Apostles concluded that the body was taken up to heaven.

According to tradition, however, Our Lady's tomb was not exactly found empty; lilies and roses were found where her body "should" have been.

This Feast is associated with herbs and fruits, and the Roman Ritual includes a blessing for such. In some parishes and chapels, congregants will bring fresh flowers to adorn the church in Mary's honor, and will bring the same along with fruit and herbs -- especially healing herbs -- to be blessed and take home.

And remember - GO TO CHURCH TODAY!

Catholicism 101

We are what you once were.
We believe what you once believed.
We worship as you once worshipped.
If you were right then, we are right now.
If we are wrong now, you were wrong then.

From my friends at Fisheaters.com I present to you a 4 part series on Catholicism, discussing what you may see today in the church, how it came to be in the sorry state it is in, and what true Catholicism is all about. Enjoy!

Traditional Catholicism 101:
A Brief Primer
Part One

A typical scenario: You listen to E.W.T.N. or Catholic Answers and have found through them that the earliest Christians were Catholic, that Catholic dogma is not unscriptural. You become convinced that Jesus Christ did set up a Church, that He did so upon the rock of St. Peter, and that the gates of Hell will never prevail against it. You are willing to intellectually assent to the eternal teachings of the Church and truly desire to become a serious, committed Catholic who serves and worships Our Lord Jesus Christ.

You do what most people do in this case; you call up your local parish and get enrolled in an R.C.I.A. program. You don't hear much about Mary, the other Saints, sin, Purgatory, or Hell. You hear very little about the Mass as a propitiatory Sacrifice, but instead hear it described only as a "celebratory meal." Depending on the parish you find, you may hear and see things that seem totally contradictory to what you'd always heard the Catholic Church teaches. Your R.C.I.A. instructor may say things like, "The Catholic Church doesn't teach that any more since Vatican II" and may come off as religiously indifferent, not insistent enough that the Church is Christ's Church and that outside of Her there is no salvation.

The Masses offered seem not too unlike what you'd see at a Lutheran, "low church" Anglican, or maybe even a Pentecostal faith community. You've always associated "Catholic" with things like eating fish on Fridays, nuns in habits, confessionals, and stained glass -- with things that are ancient, mysterious, and beautiful. You look around your local parish and are wondering why nothing you see there seems to match up.

You were expecting this:

but got this:

You thought you'd see this:

but see this instead:

Sincere Catholics speak of the absolute sacredness of Communion,
so you thought that receiving would be more like this:

than like this:

Something in you is worried. What you are seeing and hearing in your local parish seems too -- Protestant. Or maybe even pagan or Unitarian. Whatever it is, it just doesn't add up. All sense of Mystery, of holiness, of ancientness, of beauty is missing. At the very least, it's just not "Catholic enough." It isn't reverent. It isn't holy. What is going on? How can you know if what you're being taught is truly Catholic if the "spirit" of your parish isn't Catholic? What has happened to the human element of the Church?

What Happened

Ever since the time of the so-called "Enlightenment" and up to the mid-twentieth century, Popes warned us with increasingly greater fervor against the enemies of the Church. From Pope Gregory XVI's Mirari Vos (1832), to Leo XIII's Humanum Genus (1884), to Pope Pius XI's Divini Redemptoris (1937), to Pope Pius XII's Humani Generis (1950), we have been warned that the Church has enemies, and that their errors are spreading. These errors -- whose roots go back to the Mystery of the "Synagogue of Satan" of the Apocalypse -- began to germinate during the so-called "Enlightenment" and are summed up by the word "Modernism."

Called the "synthesis of all heresies" by Pope St. Pius X, Modernism is summarized in the Catholic Encyclopedia thus:

A spirit of complete emancipation, tending to weaken ecclesiastical authority; the emancipation of science, which must traverse every field of investigation without fear of conflict with the Church; the emancipation of the State, which should never be hampered by religious authority; the emancipation of the private conscience whose inspirations must not be overridden by papal definitions or anathemas; the emancipation of the universal conscience, with which the Church should be ever in agreement; A spirit of movement and change, with an inclination to a sweeping form of evolution such as abhors anything fixed and stationary;

A spirit of reconciliation among all men through the feelings of the heart. Many and varied also are the modernist dreams of an understanding between the different Christian religions, nay, even between religion and a species of atheism, and all on a basis of agreement that must be superior to mere doctrinal differences.

The adherents of these ideas gained more and more power over time, fueled by Masonry and taking on guises as apparently disparate as usurious Capitalism and Communism. Most importantly, the Modernist enemies of Christ have even infiltrated into the human element of the Church itself. Pope St. Pius X warned about this in his 1907 encylical about Modernism, Pascendi Dominici Gregis:

"...the number of the enemies of the Cross of Christ has in these last days increased exceedingly, who are striving, by arts, entirely new and full of subtlety, to destroy the vital energy of the Church, and, if they can, to overthrow utterly Christ's kingdom itself. Wherefore We may no longer be silent, lest We should seem to fail in Our most sacred duty, and lest the kindness that, in the hope of wiser counsels, We have hitherto shown them, should be attributed to forgetfulness of Our office."

"That We make no delay in this matter is rendered necessary especially by the fact that the partisans of error are to be sought not only among the Church's open enemies; they lie hid, a thing to be deeply deplored and feared, in her very bosom and heart, and are the more mischievous, the less conspicuously they appear. We allude, Venerable Brethren, to many who belong to the Catholic laity, nay, and this is far more lamentable, to the ranks of the priesthood itself, who, feigning a love for the Church, lacking the firm protection of philosophy and theology, nay more, thoroughly imbued with the poisonous doctrines taught by the enemies of the Church, and lost to all sense of modesty, vaunt themselves as reformers of the Church; and, forming more boldly into line of attack, assail all that is most sacred in the work of Christ, not sparing even the person of the Divine Redeemer, whom, with sacrilegious daring, they reduce to a simple, mere man..."

"...We have said, they put their designs for her ruin into operation not from without but from within; hence, the danger is present almost in the very veins and heart of the Church, whose injury is the more certain, the more intimate is their knowledge of her. Moreover they lay the axe not to the branches and shoots, but to the very root, that is, to the faith and its deepest fires. And having struck at this root of immortality, they proceed to disseminate poison through the whole tree, so that there is no part of Catholic truth from which they hold their hand, none that they do not strive to corrupt."

There has been an influx into the Church of those who have, with or without malice, imbibed the spirit of "the Enlightenment," and there's been a full-scale, deliberate infiltration by outright malicious political enemies and religious heretics who share the goals and tactics of those who hold to "Enlightenment" ideals. Manning Johnson, a former official of the Communist Party in America, testified before the House Un-American Activities Committee in 1953:

"Once the tactic of infiltration of religious organizations was set by the Kremlin... the Communists discovered that the destruction of religion could proceed much faster through the infiltration of the Church by Communists operating within the Church itself. The Communist leadership in the United States realized that the infiltration tactic in this country would have to adapt itself to American conditions and the religious makeup peculiar to this country. In the earliest stages it was determined that with only small forces available to them, it would be necessary to concentrate Communist agents in the seminaries. The practical conclusion drawn by the Red leaders was that these institutions would make it possible for a small Communist minority to influence the ideology of future clergymen in the paths conducive to Communist purposes... The policy of infiltrating seminaries was successful beyond even our communist expectations."

A Catholic monk who heard ex-Communist Bella Dodd speak at Fordham University in the 1950s had this to say:

"I listened to that woman for four hours and she had my hair standing on end. Everything she said has been fulfilled to the letter. You would think she was the world's greatest prophet, but she was no prophet. She was merely exposing the step-by-step battle plan of Communist subversion of the Catholic Church. She explained that of all the world's religions, the Catholic Church was the only one feared by the Communists, for it was its only effective opponent.

The whole idea was to destroy, not the institution of the Church, but rather the Faith of the people, and even use the institution of the Church, if possible, to destroy the Faith through the promotion of a pseudo-religion: something that resembled Catholicism but was not the real thing.

Once the Faith was destroyed, she explained that there would be a guilt complex introduced into the Church…. to label the ‘Church of the past’ as being oppressive, authoritarian, full of prejudices, arrogant in claiming to be the sole possessor of truth, and responsible for the divisions of religious bodies throughout the centuries. This would be necessary in order to shame Church leaders into an ‘openness to the world,’ and to a more flexible attitude toward all religions and philosophies. The Communists would then exploit this openness in order to undermine the Church."

In the human element of our Church, we are seeing the results of this infiltration coupled with the effects of the pressures of secular materialism and sheer hedonism in the popular culture.

Left to die in a soiled utility room

Here s what Barry "The Butcher" Obama really stands for. Send this to all your "catholic" friends that support this devil.

How Babies Were Left to Die: Nurse Recounts Horrors of Infanticide Practice Barack Obama Protected

By John Jalsevac

August 12, 2008 (
LifeSiteNews.com) - At the same time that the National Right to Life Committee has unearthed documents proving that Barack Obama repeatedly voted against a bill that would have protected children born alive after an attempted abortion, Illuminati Pictures has released a video of an interview with a nurse who witnessed the very practice that Obama protected while in the Illinois senate (See: http://www.lifesitenews.com/ldn/2008/aug/08081101.html ).

Jill Stanek was a nurse at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois in 1999 when she discovered that babies born alive after failed abortions purposely were being left to die in the "soiled utility room," which, says Stanek, is a room where biohazard materials and soiled linens are disposed of.

"That's where nursing staff took these babies and left them to die."

Stanek went public with her traumatizing experiences when hospital staff refused to stop the practice of infanticide. In 2000 she was asked to testify before a U.S. House committee for the federal Born Alive Infants Protection Act (BAIPA). The BAIPA was a two-paragraph bill intended to clarify that any baby who is entirely expelled from his or her mother, and who shows any signs of life, is to be regarded as a legal "person" for all federal law purposes, whether or not the baby was born during an attempted abortion.

A version of this bill, almost identical to the federal bill, was eventually brought before the Illinois Senate, which is where Obama repeatedly opposed the measure.

"Christ hospital - and we now know other hospitals and clinics around the country - are involved in an abortion procedure called 'induced labor abortion,'" says Stanek in the video, entitled "Kill and Destroy". In this type of abortion, she says, the abortionist inserts a medication into the birth canal of the mother and induces premature labor.

"My experience was that they [the babies] survive as short as a few minutes, to once, almost as long as an eight hour shift.

"To be clear these were living babies who were left out to die. And they were issued both birth and death certificates according to Illinois state law."

Stanek relates the story of how one night she saw a nurse bringing a baby to the soiled utility room to die, because the parents of the child did not want to hold it. The other nurse also did not have the time to hold the child. "When she told me what she was doing I couldn't bear the thought of this suffering child dying alone," says Stanek. "And so I cradled and rocked him for the forty-five minutes that he lived."

Stanek recounts how, besides testifying before the federal House, she also testified before an Illinois State Senate Committee, a Committee on which Barack Obama sat.

"Barack Obama," she says, "was unmoved, and actually opposed the Born Alive Infant Protection Act."

"This one guy, Barack Obama," she says, "thought that infanticide was acceptable and voted to protect it. Some people said that Barack Obama was uninformed or may not have fully understood the implications of this bill. But he voted against it three times. That's calculated."

The former nurse of Christ Hospital also dispels the myth, propagated by Obama and his campaign, that Obama only voted against the bill because it did not include language clarifying that the bill would have no effect on legal abortion; this language was found in the federal version of the legislation.

However, observes Stanek, "As chairman of the Health and Human Services Committee in 2003, he stopped the identical wording from being introduced." This fact was confirmed recently by the National Right to Life Committee, which found and made public documents proving, beyond a doubt, that Obama voted against a version of the bill that included the abortion-protecting language.

Illuminati Pictures' video concludes with a dramatization of nurses leaving a newborn infant to die on a table in a darkened room.

"Barack Obama can play word games, but at the end of the day his opposition was responsible for living babies being left out to die, and that is indefensible," concludes Stanek.

The Secret of Sanctity

Here is another traditional devotion for our catholic friends. I am sure my posting of these things will send the libs in the church into a tizzy, which I am happy for. We all know they do not wish for catholics to do or say such things as are outlined below. They believe that the power of men is far beyond the power of God.

Even today's priests will recommend therapy for people in the confessional before they recommend giving one' s self over to the will of God.

So without further delay, please read "The Secret of Sanctity" by Joseph Cardinal Mercier.

I am going to reveal to you the secret of sanctity and happiness. Every day for five minutes control your imagination and close your eyes to the things of sense and your ears to all the noises of the world, in order to enter into yourself.

Then in the sanctity of your Baptized soul, [which is the Temple of the Holy Spirit] speak to that Divine Spirit, saying to Him:

Oh, Holy Spirit, beloved of my soul. I adore Thee.
Enlighten me, guide me, strengthen me, console me.
Tell me what I should do . . . give me Thy orders.
I promise to submit myself to all that Thou desireth of me
and to accept all that Thou doth permit to happen to me.
Let me only know Thy will.

If you do this, your life will flow along happily, serenely and full of consolation, even in the midst of trials. Grace will be proportioned to the trial, giving you the strength to carry it and you will arrive at the gates of Paradise, laden with merit.

CARDINAL MERCIER
This submission to the Holy Spirit is the secret of sanctity.

Joseph Cardinal Mercier

Cardinal Mercier, a Belgian lived from 1851-1926, and was ordained in 1874 and eight years later became professor of philosophy at the University of Louvain, where, under the auspices of Pope Leo XIII, he organized an institute for the study of the teachings of St. Thomas Aquinas. He was instrumental in in the 20th-century revival of interest in Thomistic scholasticism. He was made archbishop of Malines in 1906 and Cardinal a year later. Cardinal Mercier worked to secure greater cooperation between the Catholic clergy and the laity and to promote social well-being. In World War I, Cardinal Mercier became the spokesman of Belgian opposition to the German occupation, for which the Germans placed him under house arrest.

Heaven's Promises ~ Three Hail Mary's Devotion

All too often in these days of confusion in the Church, it seems we have forgotten how to be Catholic. The Mass has changed, sin appears to be non-existent, and devotions to the Saints seem to have been forgotten.

So I have decided to locate old traditional devotions to help those that may be struggling with trying to be a catholic in a strongly un-catholic world.

We start what will be a regular feature here at the Rockin' Traddy with the Three Hail Mary's devotion. I stole this posting from http://ourladystears.blogspot.com

Opening Heaven with the Three Hail Mary's Devotion

One of the greatest means of salvation and one of the surest signs of predestination, is unquestionably, the devotion to the Most Blessed Virgin. All the holy doctors of the Church are unanimous in saying with St. Alphonsus of Liguori: "A devout servant of Mary shall never perish." The chief issue is to persevere faithfully until death in this devotion.

Numerous examples show how agreeable the three Hail Marys Devotion is to the Divine Mother and what special graces it draws, during life and at the hour of death, on those who never omit it for a single day.

This practice was revealed to St. Melchtilde (13th century) while she was beseeching Our Blessed Mother to assist her in her hour of death. Our Lady appeared to her and said:

"I will, certainly. But I also want you to say three special Hail Marys to me every day. The first will be in honor of God the Father, Whose omnipotence raised my soul so high above every other creature that after God I have the greatest power in heaven and on earth. In the hour of your death I will use that power of God the Father to keep any hostile power far from you. The second Hail Mary will be said in honor of the Son of God Who communicated His inscrutable wisdom to me. In the hour of your death I will fill your soul with the light of that wisdom so that all the darkness of ignorance and error will be dispelled. The third Hail Mary will be in honor of God the Holy Ghost Who filled my soul with the sweetness of His love and tenderness and mercy. In your last hour I will then change the bitterness of death into divine sweetness and delight."

Our Blessed Mother also revealed to St. Gertrude the Great: "To any soul who faithfully prays the Three Hail Marys, I will appear at the hour of death in a splendor so extraordinary that it will fill the soul with heavenly consolation."

St. Leonard of Port Maurice, the celebrated missionary, had the Three Hail Marys recited morning and evening in honor of Mary Immaculate, to obtain the grace of avoiding all mortal sins during the day or night; moreover he promised in a special manner eternal salvation to all those who proved constantly faithful to this practice. He gave this devotion of Three Hail Marys as a penance in the confessional, especially for those who were struggling with sins of impurity.

Promises
1. Mary will appear to you at the hour of death and console the one who practices this devotion.
2. Mary will obtain for you special graces during life.
3. Avoidance of all mortal sin and in a special manner eternal salvation to all who practice this devotion with perserverance.

Practice
Recite morning and evening, three Hail Marys in honor of the three great privileges bestowed upon Our Blessed Mother by the most Blessed Trinity with this invocation at the end: for the morning: "O my Mother preserve me from mortal sin during this day." For the evening: "O my Mother preserve me from mortal sin during this night."
Indulgences
200 days granted by Leo XIII, 300 days for the members of the Archconfraternity of the Three Hail Marys by Benedict XV, and Apostolic Benediction by St. Pius X. Currently this would be considered a partial indulgence according to The Handbook of Indulgences.

Prayer ~ The Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace; the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen+

A Very Special Message

Gimme a break!

Mentally challenged people are up in arms over the new Ben Stiller movie "Tropic Thunder" because they make reference to a "retard". I'm not sure if I should laugh or smack one of them in the head.

On Fox News this morning, they referred to "retard" as the "R" word.

So add "retard" to the list of words the mainstream media have deemed inappropriate. We can't say the "N" word, the "F" word (this particular "F" word refers to someone's sexuality), and now the "R" word. Not that I use these words in everyday conversation, but come on. Let's all grow a little thicker skin here, and not try to worry so much about what names people call you. I feel like I'm back in the schoolyard playing kickball and sister is on her way over to whack me for calling Susie a "turd" before morning prayer.

They're only words people. Get over it.

I understand these people were offended. But you know what?

I am offended daily, too.

I am offended that 115,000 unborn children are ripped from their mother's womb everyday. How come no one is rushing to placate me?

And let me direct this to the people offended by being called a retard - which do you think you should be more offended by? People calling you a retard, or the fact that parents have the legal right to abort their child if they think he may be just like you?

Ridding the world of the imperfect.

Sound familiar? Google "Mengele" and "Auschwitz" and get back to me.

As for myself, I plan to see this film. I usually don't go to films opening weekend because of the crowds, but I will make an exception here. I hope it makes millions and is No 1 at the box office.

I'm curious as to what all 4 of my readers think of this?

Ha! Funny!

Happy Birthday to me!

Yesterday was my birthday, and for the last two weeks I have been celebrating by attending the Old Mass Sunday mornings. Not the hippie-dippie, hand shaking lovefest that is the Novus Ordo, but the solemn, reverent, saintly Old Latin Mass.

I intend to go this weekend as well.

In the last two weeks I have heard two wonderful homilies, where they actually taught Catholic beliefs! Can you imagine? Catholic priests actually teaching the faith!

Of course this has always been the case with the FSSP and other traditional groups. No milky love your neighbor and pat kittens on the head and you will see God when you die nonsense.

And the best part is that the wife actually brought up to me that we go again this weekend.

Perhaps my time at the NO parish is at an end.
