I only name Scumbags once in a blue moon, and when I read that Nancy Pelosi prayed to Saint Joseph today on his Solemnity to pass health care, I knew this was an apt time.



Consider this:

Mary and Joseph were a poor couple with an unexpected pregnancy.

Strong Language Alert!

I really hate to get all riled up on the evening before my new baby enters this world, but it would seem there is another King's College student begging to receive my coveted award.

Meet Nathan Strawn.

He thought it would be cool to piss all over the Nativity on display on Public Square in Wilkes-Barre.

I hope Kings has the balls to boot this punk-ass right out of school. But I'm not holding my breath.

Here's the story from WBRE TV.

WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY -- After a holiday season of controversy surrounding one nativity scene in the city, another has been desecrated.

The nativity scene on Public Square is already missing baby Jesus and a wise man. Now, police say a college student urinated on the display, adding insult to injury.

Police say 22-year-old Nathan Strawn, a King's College student, is responsible. It happened just before 2:00 A.M. Sunday. "Actually, I think it's kind of embarrassing for the community and the college," said Anna DelleCave of Wilkes-Barre.

She says she spent years working at a restaurant and bar frequented by King's College and Wilkes University students who would party into the early morning hours, but she says this is too much. "It's not acceptable. It's going a little too far," she added.

"I think it's an isolated incident," said Wilkes-Barre Mayor Tom Leighton. "While I'm disappointed, I think our relationship will continue in a positive way, and I wouldn't want this to have a bad reflection on our partnership with the schools."

A King's College spokesperson tells Eyewitness News when students break the law, they not only face the legal ramifications, but they can also face student disciplinary hearings on campus.

"I don't think there should be punishment, but I definitely think there should be a public apology, because it's disrespectful," added DelleCave.

Mayor Leighton says when it comes to local college students respecting the city, he believes this incident is the exception, not the rule. He says it's especially unfortunate, because the nativity scene was already set to come down this coming week.

Strawn faces several charges, including indecent exposure, public drunkenness and desecration of venerated objects.

The following is a statement received from the Public Relations Office of King's College:
"King's College, through the Dean of Students Office, reviews student behavior that takes place on and off campus. Such behavior that is described in the report not only is a criminal violation of the law but is an affront to the mission of King's College and a violation of the Student Code of Conduct. Such behavior will be addressed swiftly by the Student Affairs Office in a manner that is fitting the seriousness of the offense to the College and Wilkes-Barre community."

After a week of media ridicule over Barack Obama calling everything he does from flushing the Oval Office toilet to sneering at the press “unprecedented,” he wisely did not use that word in front of West Point graduates — soldiers who have been trained to repel the invading hordes of British soldiers, fight a Civil War, two world wars, etc.

Nonetheless, there was an interesting word choice used by one of Obama’s sycophants in the media. NewsBusters notes Chris Matthews of MSNBC referred to West Point as “the enemy camp.” Matthews said, “He went to maybe the enemy camp tonight to make his case. I mean, that’s where Paul Wolfowitz used to write speeches for, back in the old Bush days. That’s where he went to rabble rouse the “we’re going to democratize the world” campaign back in ‘02. So, I thought it was a strange venue.”

Classy.

Diocese of Scranton "priest" Robert Timchak was charged with 16 counts of child sexual abuse for having pictures of naked underage boys on his computer. He was also charged with tampering with evidence. He was released without bail.

Released without bail.

Did you read that?

I'd feel better for underage boys in the area knowing this guy was locked up. Especially since "Father Bob" made news a few years past for bitching about the Bishop when the school he worked at was closed, now we know why he was so upset.

He was so upset he took a leave of absence as I recall. Why was that? I hope we don't learn it was to treat him for his perversion, after which treatment, he was brought back. And as we learned from the Diocese, this past April he took ANOTHER leave for medical reasons.

And he did it again.

So what I'm saying is that this guy doesn't respect authority and I wouldn't be surprised to see him hoof it out of town.

He must have been made aware he was to be arrested because he turned himself in this afternoon.

The Diocese released this statement:

The Diocese is saddened by the situation regarding Father Robert M. Timchak. These charges are distressing and would be very unfortunate if proven true.

On Dec. 9, 2008, the Diocese received information from an anonymous source about possible improper use of a computer by Father Timchak. Subsequently the Diocese contacted the Pike County district attorney, without any notification or involvement by Father Timchak. The Diocese has been cooperating with the investigation.

All employees of the Diocese, including priests, must obtain criminal background and child abuse history clearances. Father Timchak received these clearances. The Diocese had no indication that he had ever engaged in any improper conduct.

In April, Father Timchak was granted a leave of absence from his most recent assignment as assistant pastor of St. Vincent de Paul, Milford, and St. John Neumann, Lord’s Valley to seek medical attention at a facility outside the Diocese. This was done with the knowledge of law enforcement officials.

The Diocese is completely committed to ensuring that no employee or volunteer is engaging in any improper conduct.

At this difficult time, Cardinal Justin Rigali, Apostolic Administrator of the Diocese of Scranton, asks for prayers for Father Timchak, his family and friends.

Well we haven't had one of these in a while.

But when a supposed catholic politician decides he wants to run for higher office and decides to come out embracing the murder of innocent children in the womb, that gets my Irish up.

And Chris Doherty, mayor of Scranton has done just that. He is my Scumbag of the Day.

Maybe the month.

And what gets me even more pissed at Doherty, is that I have heard his family runs The Guild. I have also heard that the Diocese runs the Guild, so until I have confirmation, I will reserve judgment on that business.

I pray some of the people praying outside Planned Parenthood later this month will picket outside his house. I pray the next Bishop of Scranton condemns him. I pray his priest denies him Holy Communion.

I pray for a lot of things.

But mostly that we would stop murdering our children.

God have mercy on us for our grave offenses.

And pray that Christopher Doherty becomes a man and that one day he defends children in the womb.

I hate these Hollywood liberals who decide to come out and trumpet their beliefs from the rooftops.

I recall during the years of "W" when all the liberal whackoffs would come out and bitch.

Listen to me, Hollywood whackoffs!

You are an entertainer. Entertain me.

You see, you are different from us normal folk. Just because some liberal works at Burger King doesn't mean I'm going to stop going there when I want a Whopper.

But it does mean that if you are a Hollywood liberal and you insult me or my political beliefs, I am pretty sure I won't pay 12 bucks to go and see your sucky-ass film when it opens. Right Matt Damon?

Now, I really can't even tell you what Janeane Garofalo has ever done, and I doubt she'll do anything worthwhile in the future, but she is my Scumbag of the day.

Seeing how she looked on the following video from 2003 I thought about calling this "Skank of the Day", but I'd hate to start an award category just for her.

So here she is, complaining about the dissenters at this past weeks tea parties, and some flashbacks to 2003 when she defended her Hollywood friends when they came out to dissent.

Very telling, the whole shoe on the other foot kind of thingy....

Whoever defaced the statue of the Blessed Mother at Georgetown University is my pick for Scumbag of the Day.

As you can see from the picture at the left, someone decided to see how the Mother of God would look in black face. Not funny at all.

I hope they are able to catch the jerks involved.

A Rockin' Traddy first!

My first Scumbag of the Day is Misericordia University President Michael A. MacDowell for allowing gay activist Keith "I forgot my pink high heels" Boykin to speak at the University today. He will speak not once, but twice!

My second pick for Scumbag of the Day is the misguided staff member at the university who actually thought hosting a speaker who enjoys playing with feces encrusted penises would be compatible with Catholic teaching. Way to go, jackass!

As soon as these two scumbags realize that at a Catholic university, teaching the truth of Catholic faith and morals trumps any other higher learning initiative you may have, the better off Misericordia and catholics in general will be.

These people should be ashamed, and if they are actually catholics who did this, they should be fired for their divisive actions. These people are entrusted with sculpting the catholic minds of our future leaders, and based on this debacle, they are falling way below par.

Hopefully based on their actions and responses, Bishop Martino will revoke the University's Catholic status, or at the very least will pay much closer attention to what is going on there.

I am also calling on the Sisters ofMercy to formally condemn the appearance of heretic Boykin at the University. Come on Sisters, nows your chance to stand up for catholic teaching. Do not allow the institution you founded to become a den for heretics to spread their filth into the minds of young catholics.

Here is the second installment of that Rockin' Traddy favorite, "Scumbag of the Day".

Nancy Pelosi (not pictured) is my choice for "Scumbag of the Day" for no particular reason. She didn't do anything today to specifically warrant it that I know of.

But I know she came from a pod and that's quite enough.

And therefore she is my pick for today's "Scumbag of the Day".

And before you ask, the picture is of model Ali Landry. I used Ali because I had no desire to post a picture of the REAL Nancy Pelosi and be forced to remain awake all night washing my blog.
