Dueling Scumbags of the Day!

A Rockin' Traddy first!

My first Scumbag of the Day is Misericordia University President Michael A. MacDowell for allowing gay activist Keith "I forgot my pink high heels" Boykin to speak at the University today. He will speak not once, but twice!

My second pick for Scumbag of the Day is the misguided staff member at the university who actually thought hosting a speaker who enjoys playing with feces encrusted penises would be compatible with Catholic teaching. Way to go, jackass!

As soon as these two scumbags realize that at a Catholic university, teaching the truth of Catholic faith and morals trumps any other higher learning initiative you may have, the better off Misericordia and catholics in general will be.

These people should be ashamed, and if they are actually catholics who did this, they should be fired for their divisive actions. These people are entrusted with sculpting the catholic minds of our future leaders, and based on this debacle, they are falling way below par.

Hopefully based on their actions and responses, Bishop Martino will revoke the University's Catholic status, or at the very least will pay much closer attention to what is going on there.

I am also calling on the Sisters ofMercy to formally condemn the appearance of heretic Boykin at the University. Come on Sisters, nows your chance to stand up for catholic teaching. Do not allow the institution you founded to become a den for heretics to spread their filth into the minds of young catholics.

Thanks, Sarge! I would love to put you in a small room with some of our Bishops and have you go all D. I. on their asses!

There would be much rejoicing!

Roaming Catholic writes: Back in the pre-Humanae Vitae days of the 1960's I was taught by the Sisters of Mercy. Man, what a tough bunch of hombres(for any illegals reading this post who have limited English) they were, all dressed in their blue habits!! They took no BS from us kiddies. Alas, today, its hard to tell them apart from the ladies that go to the local casino...Wait a minute, those were nuns I saw at the casino!!

"There are many wonderful and excellent priests in the church who have a gay orientation, are chaste and celibate, and are very effective ministers of the Gospel," "Witch hunts and gay bashing have no place in the church." Bishop William Skylstad of Spokane, Wash., president of the U.S. bishops conference, wrote in his diocesan newspaper Oct. 28, 2008.

Fr. Cozzens, a priest for 35 years, and head of St. Mary's Seminary in Cleveland,Ohio. He says that estimates range as high as 60% of American priests are homosexual. Unfortunately the article states that, "Cozzens is not against ordaining gay men, and concedes some effective bishops and even some popes may have been gay."

WHY IS IT OK FOR HOMOSEXUAL OR HOMOSEXUALLY ORIENTED PRIESTS TO SAY MASS,HEAR CONFESSIONS AND GIVE COMMUNION AND YET IT IS OBJECTIONABLE FOR A SPEAKER TO BE INVITED TO A COLLEGE?

CAN YOU SAY HYPOCRITE BOYS AND GIRLS?

You put "feces encrusted penises" and "compatible with catholic teaching" in the same paragraph....interesting....I'm wondering if you took into consideration how many priests over the last 50 years got dirty like that, because they were abusing children and /or having relationships with other gay priests and partners.

Ok. I always get a kick out of people who constantly bring up the gay pedophile priest thing to attack the Church's position on gays.

In my opinion, gays have no place in the Church. Period. They should be hunted down and thrown out. But unfortunately, that's just me.

How can anyone with half a brain cell reconcile what we find in the Bible and natural law with today's pc view of same-sex "activities"?

Let me be very clear: Sex outside of the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman is objectively wrong! Homosexuality is perverse, it is evil. Do you actually think God gave men weiners so that they could jam them into each other? What don't you understand?

Here's my advice: Go someplace else if this concept is too much for you people to take. But don't come here and throw "gay priests" at me when I take offense at a Protestant-Catholic University that invites some ass-wrangler to come and speak about the struggle for gay rights and acceptance in America.

I don't see where that is the proper use of our supposedly Catholic institutions which have a higher calling to teach the Gospel.

Here's an idea: Why not invite Father John Corapi to come and speak about living a moral life in today's secular world?

Or maybe Father Frank Pavone could come and speak on Pro-Life activities and get the students involved?

But than again, that would be too Catholic for a Catholic University.
