So, does anyone know anything about this woman Kathleen Hanlon? She is the new superintendent of schools for the Diocese.
The Citizens Voice reported "Hanlon is a former diocese teacher and principal. From 2003 to 2007, she was assistant superintendent for secondary education and principal of Allentown Central Catholic High School in the Diocese of Allentown. For the past three years, she has been serving as a system director for the diocese."
What a system director?
What was she doing before 2003?

She was a contortionist in a circus.

I may be wrong, but I believe that a "System Director" is the position held by Ms. Susan Dennan, former Principal of B.O.R. She was given this position shortly after the restructuring of the schools.

Traddy,
Elaine is correct. After the Diocese restructured the schools, they established four regional systems: one for Luzerne County, one for Lackawanna County, one for the Williamsport schools and one for the Poconos. A "system director" was appointed to oversee each of the regional systems.
So now Hanlon is overseer of all four systems? Is that correct?
Yes, as superintendent she will oversee the operations of all diocesan schools.
No, "for the past 3 years, she was system director"; now to be superintendant of schools. I guess it must be a promotion.
