JC And The City

We all remember what a bunch of pansies they are over at Comedy Central, basically caving in to Muslim demands and threats over the great and powerful Mohammed and his depiction on "South Park".

Well, they seem to have no qualms about showcasing Jesus on a regular basis on the same show, but now they intend to go one better:

NEW YORK – Comedy Central has a cartoon series about Jesus Christ in the works.

Titled "JC," the series depicts Christ as a "regular guy" who moves to New York to "escape his father's enormous shadow." His father is depicted as an apathetic man who would rather play video games than listen to his son talk about his new life.

Comedy Central has pushed the envelope in the past: The long-running "South Park" features Christ as a regular character.

The network says "JC" is on its development slate, steps away from the pilot stage and eventual airing. Many television series in development never make it to air.

What do you all think about this?

Jesus has usually been okay on that show. The last episode with Muhammad and all that, they had him looking at porn and Buddha snorting coke...which is obviously offensive but that was their point. They can be extremely offensive about other religions and we're not all threatening to cut them up into little pieces like the radical Islam dude was.

And there was one other episode with Jesus that bothered me...actually it was about terrorists, ironically. A few years back. And Jesus in that episode basically was like...threw his slap the other cheek thing down the toilet and began shooting them with machine gun and all. I didn't like that. Because at the end of the day, no matter how much we all may be angry at terrorists...Jesus wouldn't resort to that.

BUUUT, usually, he's just pretty neutral and it's not that offensive. In a way it's kinda cool, b/c it is like he's just 'among' the public even in the current day. One episode I liked, an older one...there was going to be this 'fight' between Jesus and Satan. And everyone had to bet on who would win in a fight -- Jesus versus Satan. Of course I was hoping Jesus would win b/c at the end of the day, he would ;P. But...in the cartoon, Satan is huge and muscly and all, so it was clearly in his favor. So what happened is, EVERYone in South Park bet on Satan. So the night of the fight comes...and Jesus slaps Satan or something slight, and Satan just falls over and lets himself lose. Why? Because he was the one and only who bet on Jesus to win, so he ended up getting everyone's money. Lol. I kinda thought that was awesome for an episode idea...like, you really CAN'T trust the stupid devil, even when it seems really more tempting or obvious to do so. Cuz in the end he used their 'betting' on him against them and tricked them all.

Ha. South Park was better in the olden days.

This new "JC" sounds stupid. I hope it fails miserably and is canceled after a month.

I have Gustave Holst "Mars -Bringer of War" playing in the background. IT might influence any further comment into a non-Christian vein of thought...
