Scumbag Of The Day

I only name Scumbags once in a blue moon, and when I read that Nancy Pelosi prayed to Saint Joseph today on his Solemnity to pass health care, I knew this was an apt time.

Consider this:

Mary and Joseph were a poor couple with an unexpected pregnancy.

I wonder what Nancy would advise them to do?

Lol, the last line about Mary and Joseph.

And yeah, that is stupid. Seemed like a very lame attempt to attract a religious crowd, or to be PC to the religious crowd by acknowledging the saint day, to score points/support for the health care bill which will allow to fund certain abortions, if rape or incest etc (or at least one of the versions proposed to do this).

She seemed to be awkwardly stammering at the beginning, too, prolly cause she knew it was a load of crap.

I cannot begin to tell you how upset I was when I watched this video clip. I do have one observation - March 19th is the Feast of the Solemnity of St. Joseph and May 1st is the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker. The reason I know this is that my birthday is May 1st. I love the way the Speaker twists things to fit her agenda. God Have Mercy On Us All!

Nonsense. Pelosi should not be talking about preying to Saint Joseph to "help workers." People should be helping workers, not casting false hope into prayer.

Prayer is ancient superstition that doesn't work.

Government officials should be ashamed when mentioning anything religious or affirming their faith.

Just imagine if Pelosi said, "Posideon blesses our water and Zeus wants Healthcare to pass."

Should we really be surprised that the sisters who obviously instilled so deeply the truths of the Catholic faith in Speaker Pelosi would be the same ones to publicly support such a bill?
This was difficult for me to listen to without turning it off midway through! And what truly saddens me is that many of our fellow Catholics who choose to be uninformed of the truths will think this bill must be okay if so many good "religious orders" support it.
