Weapons Of MASS Destruction

Real Catholic Tv's work on the Mass is great. I strongly encourage everyone to watch the "weapon of mass destruction" CIA episode on realcatholictv.com for free. That said I wanted to give an update on the resistance I have come up against in the diocese of Scranton when asking for the Latin Mass to be offered closer to my home. I followed the proper order in this humble request. I asked the Parish priest. I asked the chancellor. I asked the Oblates of St. Joesph. The Priest was Msgr. John J. Bendik of St. John's in Pittston. He was kind to email me back on other matters but completely ignored my request for the Latin Mass. I spoke to Mr. James B. Earley at the diocese. I spoke to him for about 15 minutes one day. I thought it went well. I told him of my problem that I can't afford the gas to drive to St. Michael's in Scranton for daily mass. I also shared with him I met many in Wilkes Barre and Pittston that would attend a Latin Mass. When you add the 30 people who go to the SSPX chapel clearly we have the numbers to reach what the Holy Father said in his 2007 letter on the Latin Mass. He said "I will present all this to the Bishop and get back to you" Well he didn't I gave him a week after the date of the meeting he was having with the Bishop. I didn't want to be a pest. So after a week I called back and left a message. He did not return my call again. This is shameful and disrespectful. I am a young Catholic with a family and I get this slap in the face. Why? So after this I call the Oblates of St. Joesph who really are wonderful Priests. I get the women who answers the phone. I ask her "do any of the Fathers know the Latin Mass" she says " I am sure they do" I said "great do they ever offer it" She said " You will need to talk to one of the Fathers" I said "Can I " she puts me on hold then comes back and informs me "I need to go to St. Michael's in Scranton" I explain to her my money problems and explained people around here would attend. She says "the people don't want it I can't help you". I said " CAN'T OR WON'T!" she says I'm sorry. and I hung up Anyone who would like the Latin Mass you people need to step up and fight. Rights are taken not given. The Holy Father said we can have it. Call them ask them why do they do this. Be kind and respectful. Anywhere the Latin Mass goes you find huge families and the young! Ask them do you want to see the Church die? We are working on two generations of Catholics not going Mass. Soon That means NO CHURCH!!!!
