The Indoctrination Begins

I wonder if they capitalized "his" in their "scripts". And when did it become ok to call Comrade Obama "Hussein" again? Of course here at The Rockin Traddy we are not afraid to call him by his middle name. Political correctness isn't practiced around these parts.

And I couldn't help but notice the hip-hop arangement being used. I wonder if this school is in a black neighborhood?

I remember when I lived in Kenya, that every home and place of business had to have a photo of the President, Daniel Arap Moi prominently displayed. Seems so reminiscent of that.

What is wrong with supporting our President?

God Bless President Obama, a true Catholic President! He is dedicated to Catholic Social Teaching, in all but the name of his denomination.

Hail to the Chief!

Proud Protestant,

Thanks for the laugh. Maybe you can book at Wise Crackers some night? Let me know. I'll be there.

Wait Obama is Catholic? did I miss something? Wtf? I remember hearing Biden was but, I thought they were Protestant of some sort. His dad was Muslim maybe but they practice a protestant christian thing. That's what I thought...guess I coulda just googled it before making this comment but I was lazy.

Different views does not mean I am protestant, just a progressive Catholic.

How many priests in your diocese voted for Obama? More than you think, I'd bet!

Proud Prottie,

Listen, if you want to belong to a "progressive" church, there were several "reforms" during the 1500, 1600, 1700, 1800, and 1900's you should read about. Go join one of their sects if you are afraid of the truth the Catholic Church offers.

L,

Don't pay Proud "Catholic" any mind. He is always on the wrong side of the issues.

Obongo is not a Catholic. Evidence is leaning towards the fact that he isn't even a Christian. Remember during the campaign he slipped up and mentioned "... my muslim faith."

Perhaps not Catholic in name, but he is the President that best follows Catholic Social Teaching in regards to the preferential option for the poor, as well as following the USCCB mandate on health care reform (Obama opposes the reform funding abortion, it is some member's of congress who support this.)

That may be in regards to reform, but Vatican II opened the windows within our own church. The Post Conciliar Church is much different from what you would like to go back to.

You have no experience with pre Vatican II oppression.

Can you say one positive thing about the President?

The Rockin' Traddy said...

Yeah. He'll be gone in three years.

I doubt that.

Yeah, I thought he did have some sort of Islamic background. Not that that's a bad thing, but definitely not Catholic. And then I thought Michelle was Protestant sumthin or other.

But what I don't get, no offense Proud Catholic, is saying he is pretty much a standard catholic in everything BUT what his faith actually is. Huh? I mean, if your point is that he might have some Christian values...fine...but lol how does that make him virtually a Catholic when he does not practice it or say that he is himself? *scratches head*

Okay I looked it up for a few seconds. his dad was muslim, and as a kid he did go to some Catholic schools by default of where he lived. But that doesn't make someone catholic -- I have a friend at work who went to a Catholic school because his parents felt it was the better school in the area, but he was and is Methodist and doesn't consider himself Catholic. And it said Obama has gone to some "United Trinity Church" that looks non-denominational Christian.

So anyway. I'm not the type to condemn someone based on religion but, lol, if he's not Catholic, then he's not!

Dear Proud Catholic,

In regard to your comment of September 26, do YOU have actual experience with pre-Vatican II "oppression?"

If you do, that would make you, let's see now...old enough to be regularly getting your subscription to AARP Magazine.

As someone too darn close to signing up for my own subscription, I was wondering..how old ARE you?
If you don't mind my asking.

Respectfully,

Trad Mom
