Traddy feels old

My first visit to the eye doctor in 15 years has led me to feel old.

My poor little eyes are having trouble focusing for some damn reason or another, and so I will need reading glasses for times when I am working within an arms length. So basically doing computer work or reading I will have to wear them.

Sigh.

But on the upside I got some nice looking Ralph Lauren "Chaps" frames!

I will have to post a pic when I get them and then you all can tell me how young I look in them.

Ok?

Cool.

Yes let's see you with four eyes! Aw.

(And at least you haven't been four-eyed since you were in, well, fourth grade, like I have. And then when I get older I'll probably need crappy bifocals or something.)

No..just kidding...:)

Well, I'll turn 47 this year and thank God my eyes are still 20/20... no glasses...yet! Although I think I will eventually have to face the inevitable one day!
Can't wait to see the pic and the glasses Rockin'.

Oh no Father G, just kidding!

Haha! Welcome back. How was your Easter? Did you wash the feet of women last Thursday? I know you wanted to....

OK Bub...it's not a dress, it's a cassock...! Got it!

Hey Rockin',

Sorry to disappoint you but no female feet...EVER! Anyway, here we usually don't do the Mandatum, a ceremony I find very impractical and in any case in the old rite, women are, of course, totally out of the question. As for Holy Week and the Triduum, everything went well...beautiful ceremonies, lots of confessions, and lots of graces. I hope you had blessed Easter and are having a blessed Octave...
God bless,
Father G

What I'd give to be 39!! On second thought... 49 is pretty cool.

Welcome to the club! I started wearing glasses at 41 even though I ate my carrots as a kid. It's hard being a 20 something trapped inside a forty something body.
