The altar of Saint Mary's Annunciation in Kingston will offer it's final sacrifice and the venerable old church will close it doors for the last time this Sunday at 2pm.

Its amazing that its the 3 rd church on Zerby ave to close with in the last 7-8 years. I am not sure when Sts. Cyril and Methodist stopped offering Mass but it was about 2 years ago that they closed St. Hedwigs. Very sad and disturbing. there is an interesting website called Philadelphia Church Project that detail and photos many of the churches within Phildalphia.Most are Catholic and many are still open. You should check it out. Its a shame that no one has bothered to record the demise of the many parishes that are being closed and will be shortly.
